Hot performers mix to compose We are the world 2010 remake for Haiti money raising

There have been many horror stories in the past quarter century. Most natural, some from wars. None of these, however, was deemed worthy of a remake of the all known 1985 track "We Are the World" – until a tremendous 7.0 earth movement destroyed Haiti on January 12, killing an estimated 150K and leting 1,7 million without home.

Now well knowned producer Quncy A Jones, who composed the legit song written by Jacko and Lionel Richie, is on a fresh race to rebirth the old tune using today's famous artists. Mr. Jones and Mr. Richie invited Moroccan-Swedish success maker RedOne to take part in the remixing, says celebrity Noty.bz website.

“I know that Mr Richie has been invited like 150-times to redo ‘We Are the World’ and he said no to everything until this Haiti thing happened," RedOne told Noty.bz. "The second he saw that it occurred he was like, OK, ‘We Are the World.’ And to be one of the participants they called to have fresh input to the track, to give a hand to produce the play – I have no words.”

The new version of the music is must be accomplished on time to perform in the next 12 feature show of the next Olympics, and a "reunion of stars," as MTV describe it, is now hard at work recording the tune. Jones took gain of the talent group assembled at the Grammy Awards on Sunday night to ask stars to jump in the building making of the remake, reports Noty website.

Famous L. Gaga was reportedly among those recruited during the Grammys, joining Wyclef Jean, Tyna Turner, Jay-Z, Kyllie Minogue, Kanye West, Sting, E. Van Oppen, and dozens of other well known stars in the entertainment industry. All told, there will be more than 130 pop artists contributing. And they are working against the clock.

By Monday, most were in the same California studio were the initial recording take place, laying it down, reports the Los Angeles Times "Hip" industry blog. "The scene that day, like the initial session, was a crazy gathering of talent confluence," reports the site. "In where would 82-year-old Tony Bennett perform in unison with 15-year-old Justin Bieber? Emphasizing the cross-generational representation, the choir featured Beach Boys (Brian Wilson and Al Jardine) and three Jonas Brothers (Nick, Joe, and Kevin)."

The last "We Are the World" music got $75 million to help fight famine in Africa and "and stays as a approach for famous-stars fundraising," according to the Noty.bz. How much will the new version bring in for Haiti? We'll have to wait and see.
